I'm glad you arrived, please do come in.. I hope you enjoy my Homemade crafty items. Feel free to leave a comment and if you have any questions I'll do my best to reply. I've been having better luck with my Mojo but still have a tendency to get lost in the game. I lose my mojo and I just wait for some inspiration to hit and then I'll scrap again. I'm sure others know what I'm talking about. We just plain run out of ideas for a moment! Sooner or later things are kicking back into gear! YAY! For those that stop by and leave comments, I greatly appreciate it. Even stop by just to say Hi.. I will try to get back to your blog too. I hope you have a great day, I hope you enjoy your visit! Continued part 2.. Still Alive!

HI AGAIN....  this post was part of my post from yesterday.  I just didn't have time to get  the post  done, So today I'll post my newest card.   I'm new to cards, this is my third card I've made.  Haven't been able to make much more and I do explain why in my yesterday's post... which I just repeated below.  Check out my Tackle box/card below my Sisters card.
--------------
Boy its been awhile since I've posted anything.  I've had the unfortunate luck of having health problems.  I have a form of arthritis which has been mostly under control with immune therapy drugs, but as of the end March this year, Its went into every joint in my hands  and alot in my toes.   Needless to say My hands are very sore you don't even think about them until you can't do little things like pick up a container of milk, open a bottle, or even turning the key to start the truck.  I have alot of health problems, from neck and pinched nerves, resulting in mother of all headaches, I also deal with my ribs that lock up or come out of place and have to be manipulated by my a therapist to get them back in place twice weekly... and boy that is painful.

Unfortunately my joints are so swollen and sore I haven't been able to do much of any crafting. So I was unable to do and more designer layouts, which is very depressing, another enjoyment of life has been taken away for me.  Anyway  Well 3 months later my hands are still really bad. My Arthritis doctor put me on more meds but as usually I got extremely sick from them.  So I'm still hurting and no farther ahead.  I do not usually tell anyone of how hectic things are for me, so I'm being very honest here.  Its driving me CRAZY that I can't do much crafting, so I've tried small things like cards. Crafting is all that I've had left that I could do, it usually took me a long time to get a layout done, its because I have to stop so I can control pain from getting out of hand.   Even though I'm very new at cards.. and I'll be posting my 3rd one I've made,  its not the same as getting a layout done.   BUT... at least I can get some scrappy things done.  Perhaps I'll try a layout one of these days, but it will take probably a couple weeks if not more to complete.  but I guess thats better than nothing!

I made this cute little Father's day card/tackle box for my dad  for father's day and I want to share with  you, as well a few weeks ago I got a card done for my sister who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.   Today I'm going to share both with you.  I hope you enjoy.   Please leave a message and say Hi.  Its nice to know that I have someone visiting.   Thanks  Sherry

Still Alive! Happy Father's Day

HI there,

So I was unable to do and more designer layouts, which is very depressing, another enjoyment of life has been taken away for me.  Anyway  Well 3 months later my hands are still really bad. Key To My Heart

Here's my newest layout I've been working on This is my daughter Ashley.  This is another kit layout.  this time there were a few more flowers.. so for almost the first time I decided not to make my own but to work with what is in the kit.  I'm quite happy with how it turned out.   I've done alot of plastic resin embellishments.  Finally got my new moulds and couldn't wait to try them out..  I just LOVE the leaves and the Border flowers.   I'm sure to use these often!..   Can't wait to experiment more with them.   I hope you enjoy my newest layout.   Thanks for stopping would love to hear from you. Always appreciate everyone that visits and for any comments left on my work.  Hope you have a Great day.

I made a birdcage to go on the page but just didn't like the look of it on the layout once I put my layout together.. so I just kept  the birdcage, maybe make a card with it some day.   I used clear Utee, black paint, and pearl Ex Gold tone to make the cage,  the green flowers were in the kit and I even found a use for the wires off the flowers that were supplied in the kit, colored with Krylon 18k leafing marker.

Will You Be Mine? New Design Team Member!

I'm proud to officially announce that I have joined the design team at our local scrapbook store Scrapbook Memories and More.  I've been asked to design for the Kit Challenge they have starting the first of every month!.   You've seen several of my entries into the Challenge for the last few months and was totally shocked when they asked if I would join their design team!.
My new layout for this month is the same as all the rest..  No boughten embellishments.. no more boughten paper, other than whats in the kit.   This kit had 4 flowers.. 2 white one and two tiny roses, a couple stripes of lace, a little blinged out bead, and a small tag and some chipboard.   All given in this cute little red bag.  So I figured I had to get that bag into my layout somehow.   All the embellishments are made by me with a plastic resin.  I'm having so much fun making them.  and YES even the "beads" are resin.   I found this awesome mould for beads and had to give it a try on this Valentine layout.

This is my daughter, moments after she was asked for her hand in marriage.  I hope you enjoy my new layout!  If you have any questions on what product I used or how I did something.. just ask, I'll do my best to get a reply to you!..   Thanks for stopping into my Blog.  I'd love to hear from you.  As always its nice to know I have some visitors and always appreciate when you take your time to share your thoughts.   Hope you enjoy..

Sherry

I wish my butterflies would show all the glitter they have.  They just are not the same in pictures as they         are on the layouts.

Here are some close pics
to show more details.  The
leaves are all handmade using only the paper in the kit and a few kinds of paint and lacquer.  I used almost all the contents of the kit.. even the wires that were on the 4 flowers that were provided.  I made the rose, which I painted glossy red.  All the black you see, except for the chipboard, I used micro fine glitter.  The borders are two kinds of dies and the "beads" are resin as well as the hearts, cameo,  frame and flowers.

                               Happy Valentines Day (soon)
